Galactic Code can convert your website to our exclusive content management system so you can update your website starting at only $30 per page!

The process
While the eCommerce packages will be a little different the process generally goes as follows:
- When you contact me I will discuss your needs and help you to decide the best approach for your website.
- When your needs have been established I will send you this form to fill out and it will gather the information I need to make your design and complete your site.
- I will then do up a design based on the information you have given me and then send you a preview of the design.
- You can give your feedback and tell me what changes you would like made and I will revise the design and send you another preview.
- Once you are happy with the design I will take half payment and start coding the design.
- When I have finished coding the design I will setup your website and upload it and now your site will be online.
- If you have provided the content for your site already I will add that, otherwise you can add it later using the admin panel.
- Once the site has been tweaked and you are happy with it I will take the rest of the payment.
- Congratulations, you now have your very own Galactic Code designed website.
FAQ
Q: What is a domain name?
A: A domain name is your internet address, for instance www.yoursite.com or www.yoursite.com.au, you register these for a yearly fee.
Q: Where should I buy my hosting and domains from?
A: I generally recommend www.crazydomains.com.au to my clients for both domains and hosting as they are well priced, reliable and their datacenters are located within Australia.
Q: What is a good domain name?
A: Generally it is best to keep your domain name as short as possible and avoid numbers and symbols. It is best to keep with the .com or .com.au domain prefixes as these are easiest for people to remember. If you are an Australian business it is best to buy a .com.au domain though it is also a good idea to register the .com version of your domain as well to preserve the international identity of your company and in case people type .com instead of .com.au.
Q: Why can't I get my hosting and domains through you?
A: I do not register domains or purchase hosting for your security. This way you are 100% in control of your website and are independent of me once I have finished your website.
Q: Why do you use mostly free software for you websites?
A: Firstly because I like to support GPL/GNU projects to help secure their future as a free and at the least equal alternative to commercial software. I also believe that the free software I use is genuinely as good, if not better than commercial alternatives and because they are free there is a wealth of support and extensions available for free on the internet. Finally because it keeps the costs down for you!
Q: Who provides the content or copy (the writing) of my website?
A: I do not write content for websites as you know your buisness or organisation better than anyone. Content can be provided in the form of a word document, PDF, email or written on the form I provide.
